Meet Palma: Designed for Slower Days and Seaside Moments

Some pieces invite you to slow down.

The Palma Crossbody was created for the kind of days that feel lighter—days shaped by open schedules, warm afternoons, and carrying only what feels necessary. Whether it is a coastal escape, a resort morning, or simply bringing a softer pace into everyday routines, the Palma Crossbody was designed to move with ease.

Part of the Palma Collection, this piece reflects a more relaxed expression of the Montemaré philosophy: refined design that feels effortless to carry and natural to live with.

In Blake’s Blue, Palma captures that feeling even further. Calm and understated, the shade brings together softness and sophistication in a way that feels equally suited to travel and everyday moments.

Because sometimes the most memorable journeys are not the busiest ones—they are the ones that let you move more slowly.

Why we designed the Palma Crossbody

Not every bag needs to feel structured or formal.

The Palma Crossbody was created around a different idea of movement—one that prioritizes ease, openness, and versatility without sacrificing thoughtful design.

Inspired by warm-weather escapes and the relaxed rhythm of coastal living, the piece was designed to carry what matters while feeling effortless in use. Spacious enough for longer days out, yet refined enough to complement elevated styling, the Palma Crossbody balances function with an understated sense of sophistication.

Its silhouette allows for flexibility while maintaining a polished shape that feels intentional rather than oversized.

The goal was never to create a seasonal piece.

It was to create something that encourages lighter living.

Designed with purpose

At first glance, the Palma Tote feels relaxed—but its details are carefully considered.

The combination of vegan leather and straw-inspired texture creates contrast between structure and softness, resulting in a piece that feels both elevated and easy to carry. The materials were selected to evoke the feeling of travel and warm destinations while remaining versatile enough for everyday use.

Inside, functional compartments bring order without disrupting the simplicity of the design. Essentials stay accessible, making transitions between moments feel more seamless.

Signature Montemaré elements continue throughout the piece.

The whistle tassel adds an intentional detail that blends utility with identity—subtle enough to feel integrated, yet distinctive enough to become part of the experience.

Along the interior, the orange journey line appears as a quiet reminder of movement and exploration. It reflects the belief that what we carry becomes part of the places we go and the memories we bring back.

These details are not designed to stand out immediately.

They are designed to reveal themselves over time.

How we would style it

The Palma Tote in Blake’s Blue feels most at home in moments that invite ease.

For the resort day

Pair it with breathable fabrics, relaxed tailoring, and natural textures. Think flowing silhouettes, lightweight layers, and understated accessories that allow the bag’s texture and color to quietly stand out.

For the coastal afternoon

Style it with soft neutrals and comfortable essentials for an effortless look that transitions naturally from morning coffee to sunset dinners.

For everyday summer in the city

Combine it with structured separates and minimal styling to create contrast between relaxed materials and polished dressing.

Its versatility comes from its ability to feel considered without ever feeling overstyled.

Designed for the days you remember

Palma was designed for movement that feels softer.

For carrying what matters without carrying too much. For finding beauty in slower moments. For creating space between destinations rather than rushing through them.

It is not defined by where you take it.

It is defined by how naturally it becomes part of the experience.

Because sometimes the best pieces are the ones that remind us to travel a little lighter—and enjoy the journey a little longer.
